John and Linda Clarke opened their doors as a registered care home back in 1995 and the home has remained a family run home ever since whilst John and Linda enjoy their retirement.
At the core of our care home is a real family, with real love, and a very big heart.
Brookside’s founders Linda and John officially retired in early 2018 (pictured below)
Their daughters Helen and Sarah took over the reins in 2018 from their parents, along with the help of an experienced and qualified invaluable team of staff who exude real compassion and faultless care.
John and Linda still live next door and, because their hearts are still very much with the residents and staff of Brookside, they are still able to pop in to enjoy and share the laughs with familiar faces. John is visiting the residents on Xmas Day dressed as Santa to hand out Xmas presents.

We are fortunate to be able to boast that we have just such a team… Many of our staff have been at our home for many years. Their dedication to Brookside ensures the very best of care at all times and staff often join residents in activities, events and day trips.

Meet our Registered Manager, Sarah
Our kind and caring Registered Manager Sarah has a wealth of experience in strategic and operational roles.
Sarah has over 30 years’ experience in care and has an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social care, Level 3 in Management and a Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management.
A motivated and passionate manager Sarah demonstrates a proven background managing a team of carers and residents needs and demonstrates extensive knowledge and experience within the residential care living sector.
Sarah is is committed to the delivery of high quality care and support, the promotion of independence and modern, person centred practices of care.
Employed on a full time basis and living on site at Brookside together with her partner, Sarah leads our team of care staff ensuring that the service is compliant with both company and CQC guidelines.
We are passionate about what we do and how we care for our residents. At Brookside we have a caring team of professionals dedicated to delivering personally tailored care and ensuring our residents always feel confident that they can rely on a friendly face and helping hand 24-hours a day.

Our care home staff and carers are specially selected for their personal qualities, such as being instinctively warm with a natural desire to help others – taking time to have a friendly chat, reminisce and most of all, share a good old joke.

Our staff are committed to caring for each Resident’s unique needs and preferences. They aim to provide a happy, relaxed yet stimulating environment where Residents will enjoy living in comfort and security.
The staff at Brookside take great pride in the letters received by residents' families. We were honoured to receive a letter from East Midlands Air ambulance congratulating us on the running of the home and how impressed they were with our staff.
